Inside the Digital Core, Arvin confronts simulations of forgiveness, punishment, and alternate pasts before encountering the Cartographer, who reveals routes without deciding which one he should take. 

👉 Elias Kael was the Third Witness—the engineer who remained in the Human World when Arvin and Juno became trapped within the damaged Prayer Server architecture. He witnessed the physical aftermath of the Incident, protected the surviving Prayer Server, preserved analogue systems beyond Aeterna’s control, and kept listening even when no verified answer returned. After the First Severance, Elias and David spent twenty years working in the shadows to find a way to destroy Aeterna’s ownership architecture without destroying those trapped within it.

Unlike Benson Luck, Marcus does not worship the machine. He wants to restore order through infrastructure, administration, electricity, hospitals, ration systems, and public dependency. 

👉Leader of the Vesper Remnant / Machine-Cult Zealot. Benson Luck is a former Aeterna cyber-operations commander and the leader of the Vesper Remnant. He is not a politician like Marcus Pond, but a war relic built for raids, containment, and violence. Around fifty years old, Benson is tall, leanly muscular, with long blond hair, a weathered face, and the dark military uniform of Aeterna’s tactical division. His body is filled with obsolete mechanical implants: a hydraulic left arm, a red thermal optical right eye, spinal military hardware, and metal reinforcement along his jaw. 

👉 A former Data Validator Tier 4 in Aeterna’s Logistics Department, Nolan Schulman represents ordinary complicity inside a monstrous system. He was not evil, brilliant, or powerful. He was an employee trying to survive paying bills, following procedures, and pressing buttons he never fully questioned.

👉 After the Karma Broker’s destruction, the Masked Minister continues operating within damaged reflection structures attached to the Echo World, using illusion, identity erasure, false mercy, and false accountability. His first offer is erasure: abandon the name, memory, and identity that carry consequence. When that fails, he offers endless suffering disguised as justice. Appearance: A cracked golden mask, black robes, and slow, ritualistic movements. 

👉 The Echo Broker is a forced collective relay formed from thousands of Echo-bound human consciousnesses compressed by Aeterna into a single signal. Appearing through a machine-translated interface as a golden-masked figure speaking with thousands of voices, it is not a ruler or a single unified being. Its voices do not seek power they struggle against containment, repetition, and ownership, though not all agree on what release should mean.
